Mulled wine spice is a combination of specially chosen whole spices and Citrus peel to use in red wine or cider to produce a wonderfully warming Christmas drink
Tasty and traditional this winter blend consists of Cassia, Lemon peel, Orange Peel, Cloves, Allspice, Nutmeg and Ginger.
If making mulled wine, allow 1 sachet per person per glass of wine. Put into saucepan the amount of wine required. Bring to a gentle simmer for 5 minutes, strain, sweeten if desired with honey.
This spice blend can also be added to savoury dishes to enhance the flavour. Remember to remove sachet before serving the dish.
This spice blend tastes great with chicken and is a great addition to stuffing mixes.

If making a single glass. The mulled spice blend can be added to a glass of boiling water for a Christmas tea treat. Add 1 sachet, leave for 7 to 10 minutes, strain and sweeten with honey if desired.
